This is an interspecific hybrid between Turbinicarpus pseudopectinatus and Turbinicarpus valdezianus, both of them are early bloomer and it is relatively easy to cross amongst themselves, since they prefer to bloom in February and March.
The hybrid seedlings sow intermediate characteristics, the spines are partially pectinated (like in T. pseudopectinatus) and slightly feathered (like in T. valdezianus)
